You have a humanoid locust with a laser rifle on your cover, what could have gone wrong?

Think of all those space cop shows, I love them. You are about freelance policing in space. This should have been a great fit. I was all over your Kickstarter, you didn’t have to ask twice.

But I should have. Robin Laws is the master of combining crunch with superficially story-based mechanisms. You have some great high-concept ideas but all of it is bedded to a lot of numbers and mechanics that I’m never going to dedicate enough time to learn.

It’s the crunch that’s brought about this crunch time. The investment it would take to understand you is not within my ability to give you. Instead I’ll probably end up looking for a cheap imitation of you with all your style and high-concept but a basic set of rules.

You are what you are and I’m who I am. We’re in one another’s orbits but we were never really meant to be.
