Roll Result
6 or less A failure, the GM makes a Move
7 to 9 A partial success, typically a bargain with the GM
10+ A complete success without compromise

Moves

All players in the game have Moves which describe the way that mechanically they interact with the game. Often Moves relate to the basic mechanic but Moves can also be “automatic” in the sense that once triggers are hit there are predictable consequences.

Game facilitators tend to have more automatic moves (advancing clocks, introducing new fiction elements) but some systems include random mechanics for these “GM Moves”.
