Lathenfair

A small village in flat land surrounded by rolling hills which the knowledgeable will recognise as the remains of barrows from ancient times. The road runs directly through the village along a south-west to north-east axis.

A wooden palisade surrounds the village and has recently been expanded and repaired to include all the tightly packed dwellings within it. Goats and cows are outside the town wall but have a tall fence protecting them from rustlers.

The gates to the village are simple with a sturdy metal bracket holding a wooden bar in place. A simple ladder and platform next to the gate allows the watchman to see visitors at the gate. The base of the platform forms a little shelter for the watchmen.
