Synopsis

Nearly two weeks ago a pair of alchemists working with an artefact that they did not really understand caused the rebirth of an ancient tree spirit with disastrous consequences for themselves.

Now one of the alchemists is a wandering ghost near the village of Lathenfair and the other has been transformed into a plant human hybrid and is battling to prevent a reborn plant spirit from spreading into the world.

The PCs hear rumours of a ghostly spirit at the inn where they are planning to spend the winter having failed to achieve their quest.

The Stone of Argua/The Seed of Tagfed

When this first came into the possession of Gareth and Isabell it look like a dull, large node of smooth jade. They knew it as the Stone of Argua that was rumoured to have powers relating to the control and growth of planets.

As they worked with it though, it began to glow with a green mystical energy and allowed the pair to hybridise animals and plants.

Eventually though it gathered enough energy to germinate and the giant tree burst from the seed.
